There is no denying the bag is beautiful and well-made for the price but I have two (minor) issues: (1) It’s taking a long long time to soften or break in the leather enough to easily secure the outside strap. Patience so far has come in handy and it’s getting easier but a well-placed outside pocket would have made up for it, at least a little bit. (2) The shedding threads! Be prepared to periodically trim your bag of errant threads along the seam lines. Mine has largely stopped shedding but there remains a stray or two.

The leather, zippers and other connectors are top quality. I like that the shoulder strap has a lining on the underside to keep the leather surface off clothing or bare skin. The design is masculine in nature and has plenty of room for tablets, sunglasses, wallets, keys and much more. .

I was looking for a cross-body bag to carry an iPad and a few detailers for my sales job so that I didn’t have to carry my entire work backpack into every account. This bag works perfectly. It fits my 9 inch and 12.9 inch iPad Pros and is large enough to easily carry a few full-sized detailers. I love the locking strap…no buckles to complicate opening the bag but still entirely secure. I would definitely recommend this bag.

Women carry purses for a reason and this particular bag is a great option for a man. He loves his new bag and it’s rugged enough that any man can be proud and comfortable carrying this around. I love that he can wear it cross body and the strap is also leather to match the bag. Many of the other brands have a different strap and i just don’t like that as much. Very happy with this purchase and the shipping was extremely fast. I almost paid for upgraded shipping but then I got it within days.

I did fairly considerable exploration of other messenger bags touted as bison leather before making this purchase. Few if any of them seemed as robust as this bag, so I kept returning to the Sam's Buffalo website to confirm my original impression that this thing had the kind of stout heft that would translate into the life-long durability I was after. As soon as I received it, I IMMEDIATELY realized that this initial impression was dead-on correct. With the intent of getting into the habit of maintaining this wonderful bag, the first thing I did was rubbed it down with mink oil to enhance water repellence and pliability; something I plan to continue doing two or three times a year. With such care, I have little doubt that - absent being run over by the metal treads of an Abrams tank - this will be a bag that will fulfill my objective of life-long use. Well done folks!
